Business Need |
Mactec was tracking their jobs through an entirely manual process. Index cards
were used to track progress and upon completion, invoices were manually created
in Quickbooks.
A number of disparate forms (Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, etc) were stored on network drives to track specific aspects of Jobs while Quickbooks was used for others. No central data storage existed to manage customers, jobs, and other business data. |
| Solution |
Hall Data Solutions developed a database application using a combination of on-site
and remote development. A dedicated database server was configured and deployed
keeping their existing file server untouched.
The system saved a tremendous amount of time by presenting presenting a central point of storage for all customer and job information. The full-time job of manually creating invoices was all but eliminated, and index cards became a thing of the past. |
